Overview of the Wine
Gustavo Santaolalla is world renowned in his field of music. He is a two-time Oscar winning film composer. Santaolalla’s good friend and colleague is Raúl Orozco, a musician from Mendoza, part of the folklore duet Orozco-Barrientos, whose song “Celador de Sueños” was given a Grammy award. Together with winemaker Juan Carlos Chavero, Santaolalla and Orozco with passion and artistic flair have their sights set on becoming known as one of Argentina’s finest wine producers.
Gustavo started Cielo y Tierra in 2005 when he purchased a vineyard in Lunlunta (Lujá de Cuyo, Mendoza). The Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon vines are from 14-40 years of age on this 10 hectare vineyard.
Grape / Blend
Ruby red with blue highlights. Candid bouquet with marked notes of spices. Unctuous, with soft and mature tannins. Its end is intense, leaving a reminiscence of red grilled peppers with soft raisin notes.
